Now I am reminded to just "Pick it Up!" and not wait for someone else to do it. So, I pick up other people's trash when I am walking the dog or walking in nature. I can't bear to think of it getting into the belly of some wild animal or bird or blowing out to that huge spinning pile in the ocean. Thanks for this gracious reminder!Kathie Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10377224759599266209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8147631697089273467.post-52321978399736186182011-03-23T19:06:03.508-05:002011-03-23T19:06:03.508-05:00troutbirder-Plenty of trash around here unfortunat...troutbirder-Plenty of trash around here unfortunately.

Kah-Wai-Lin-thanks for stopping by.

BirdingGirl-Thanks-I always enjoy seeing Red-bellied Woodpeckers or flickers at the suet too.

Mainbirder-thanks!Larryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17955054342034509500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8147631697089273467.post-33327180029052341152011-03-21T15:58:41.648-05:002011-03-21T15:58:41.648-05:00Excellent capture of the Red-bellied Woodpecker La...Excellent capture of the Red-bellied Woodpecker Larry!MaineBirderhttp://www.birdingmaine.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8147631697089273467.post-10018001390934196272011-03-17T09:37:01.809-05:002011-03-17T09:37:01.809-05:00Hi Larry. Another bird becoming more common here in southern Ontario.

I remember that commercial too.

I met a bird guide once who always carried a plastic bag and picked up garbage as he walked. Its a great habit. I always try to pick up a few things myself now too, so I guess he educated me by example.Harold Stiverhttp://www.ontfin.com/Wordnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8147631697089273467.post-62694264426392366892011-03-09T16:58:45.154-05:002011-03-09T16:58:45.154-05:00Nice capture on woodpecker!

Younger people today also must have taken keeping our beautiful surrounding free of trash as well. It certainly isn't common to see a lot of trashy highways in the upper Midwest. The Southwest is another matter.troutbirderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14087811292280881959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8147631697089273467.post-72967404334305297752011-03-08T18:13:27.393-05:002011-03-08T18:13:27.393-05:00dawn-I like that nostalgic stuff.
