I read the book and was surprised to find out he bought an old farm in the Pomfret area. Since I lived in this "Quiet Corner" for several years back in the 1970's and '80's I was surprised to find out about his place, since I had never heard of it. I have yet to visit the farm thought I want to. I passed by this Audubon Nature center several years ago when I was in the area for a friend's weddding. Kudos to you for getting out and about so much. I am ready for another nature adventure myself!Kathie Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10377224759599266209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8147631697089273467.post-60027896013896096622009-03-17T07:38:00.000-05:002009-03-17T07:38:00.000-05:00Sounds like you had a good day. I have seen them here all winter. They must be migrants from further north, or perhaps some stay all winter. Nice video. The warmer weather does make birding more enjoyable as the birds are more plentiful and active.Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15892804871759397018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8147631697089273467.post-51111548682379225402009-03-17T05:30:00.000-05:002009-03-17T05:30:00.000-05:00Quiet Corner sounds like a delightful place Larry....Quiet Corner sounds like a delightful place Larry. :c) Love the kestrel!Jaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14057094040409159429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8147631697089273467.post-57102727066093137252009-03-16T20:38:00.000-05:002009-03-16T20:38:00.000-05:00Nice post!!!Nice post!!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12043873610380390344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8147631697089273467.post-52080312100574415802009-03-16T19:45:00.000-05:002009-03-16T19:45:00.000-05:00Love the kestral on the martin house and your vide...Love the kestral on the martin house and your video is terrific! <BR/>I've never been able to get video of flight- very cool.Lynne at Hasty Brookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09187035706322695138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8147631697089273467.post-55853539120066252462009-03-16T19:44:00.000-05:002009-03-16T19:44:00.000-05:00Christine-You picked a nice part of the state to l...Christine-You picked a nice part of the state to live in.
