I don't know what's wrong with me! Maybe I should do this at home and not at the office... I can only guess #11, Elvis, Caught in a Trap...
This is fun. I'll be back when my brain is charged up.
1. Baby Come Back - Player
2. Nights in White Satin - The Moody Blue
4. Lights - Journey
9. Only the Good Die Young - Billy Joel
That's all I know!
6. Born to be Wild- (can't remember who)
8. Incense and Peppermint- Strawberry Alarmclock
12. Come Away With Me- Nora Jones
I love this game, and the fleeting moments of a song coming back into my brain. Here are my guesses (maybe more will come later)
1) Baby Come Back (don't know the band)
7) Come Rain or Come Shine - Tony Bennett?
9) Only the Good Die Young (Billy Joel)
11) Suspicious Minds (THE Elvis Presley)
I looked at Lynne's answers and felt bad that I didn't recognize #6-a classic biker song.
Awww geez, usually my brain is so cluttered with song lyrics, but the only one of these I recognize is #9 "Only The Good Die Young".
I had a brain flash after posting answers earlier:
6)Born to be Wild by Steppenwolf
7) was sung by Rosemary Clooney
Aww!! I knew 6 was "Born to be Wild" How could I not remember it was Steppenwolf!!!
Didn't Frank Sinatra do "Come Rain or Come Shine" too?
I think I just figured out number 5- "Meet Me in St. Luois, Louis" sung by Judy Garland?
Who's got number 10? It's making me nuts!!
All anwers are correct-lots of people sang come rain or come shine including Frank,Tony, and Rosemary.-I'll add additional lyrics to 3 and 10(classic rock).
also-I'll add a few more.
Just thought you'd like to know that Judy Garland was from Minnesota too. ;)
16. Ground Control to Major Tom- David Bowie (don't think that's the real title though)
18. You Belong to Me- I think it's on a Patst Kline CD that I have
I can compete with Lynne. The rest are good, too.
A few came back to me but I'd be terrible on Jeopardy.
20. What Becomes of the Broken Hearted- can't think of who sings it
I changed the ones that have been anwered already to black.-gray ones have been partially answered.
13) Crying - Roy Orbison
Is #3 Coal Miner's Daughter?
I'm ready to say "Uncle" now Larry.
nice going ruthiej!
