Where's A Safe Place For Deer To Hang Out?

I did a double take when I recently found several deer roaming about in a cemetery in the Middletown, Connecticut.

I once saw a coyote in a local (untended) cemetery. And the birds love them. I think they are treated by the animals as locall wildlife preserves.

A flock of Wild Turkeys spent the summer in a city cemetery here. I think the deer are pretty smart.

Looks like there's plenty of good browse in the marble orchard!

thanks for the commentw-I think we all agree that the deer sense it's a safe place for them to investigate.

I hope they will stay there all through hunting season!

So glad I stopped by, Larry. Wonderful photography and interesting links . . . particularly that comet's approach.

The curious picture of deer in the cemetery . . . well, as I age . . I can't help but to feel sympathy for these creatures . . though I know their numbers create problems for many, including themselves.

Cathy-I'm glad you did stop by-thanks.Deer are beautiful creatures but unfortunately it doesn't make them exempt from overpopulation and hardship in the natural world.
